How to Install Garage Door Stop Molding
Stop molding is the weather seal along the sides and top of the door opening. Jacob's key tip is getting the pressure just right.
Step by step
Measure and cut
Measure each side of the opening and cut the molding to length.
Set it lightly against the door
Hold it so it just touches the door with light pressure. Too tight and it will bind the door.
Fasten as you go
Nail it at the top, then work down a couple of feet at a time, adjusting so it stays in contact without pressing hard.
